Welcome to the Bacon Gallery.
As you'll find when browse through the site, my art doesn't really present a cohesive body of work. There are three reasons for this:
1. I'm always excited to learn something new
and experiment with it
2. I like to communicate in a variety of ways
3. I have a lot of artistic influences
My paintings tend to be abstract and are influenced primarily by the action painting school. I really enjoy attacking the canvas, letting my emotions take over and then "discovering" the end result.
My photographs fall into two categories: abstract - again - that are extensively manipulated using Photoshop, and what I refer to as "decay and desolation" images, abandoned buildings, wide, empty vistas, that sort of thing.
In sculpture, I'm inspired by the idea of destruction and reconstruction. I work with found materials, primarily shipping pallets, which I take apart and then reassemble.
I'm just beginning to explore jewelry as an art form, working primarily with metal clay to create pendants, necklaces, and bracelets.
The paintings and photographs are available as prints in a variety of sizes up to 16" x 20" as well as gift cards. For more information on pricing and availability, please contact me directly:Jeff Bacon
